DA completes Denizen Bushwick

With Denizen Bushwick, ODA has officially completed the second phase of their Brooklyn master plan.

In the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, denizen Bushwick is situated on top of the two subway stops that make up the Morgan Avenue subway station.

The architectural firm behind this project is ODA, whose primary focus on tasks like this one is creating affordable housing that aligns with their client’s wishes and needs.

Green Design

The building’s green design is one of its most essential features and sets it apart from other facilities in the area.

Using native plants and trees helps to create a natural environment that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also helps to improve air quality and provides a habitat for local wildlife.

The building also features a rainwater harvesting system that collects and recycles rainwater for use in the landscape.

All of these features come together to create a sustainable and efficient building that will help reduce its occupants’ environmental impact.

In addition, the interior spaces are designed with this same goal in mind, incorporating recycled materials throughout.

For example, recycled steel was used for the structural support beams and ceiling grid systems.

Recycled concrete tiles were used for flooring material throughout all of the communal areas, giving them an attractive finish while keeping them durable enough to withstand heavy foot traffic and everyday wear and tear.

Construction Process

The construction process for Denizen Bushwick was completed by ODA, a New York-based architecture firm. The project took three years to complete and was completed in May 2017.

The building is eight stories tall and contains 210 units of housing, as well as ground-floor retail space.

The building is located in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn and was designed to be a mixed-use development.

It houses residential spaces on floors four through seven, which are apartments ranging from studios to four bedrooms.

Floors one through three house commercial spaces, with offices on floor two and restaurant space on floor one.

Denizen Bushwick’s design draws inspiration from industrial factories built during the early 20th century and historic warehouses once home to local manufacturing companies like Pfizer.

ODA’s vision for this mixed-use development was to serve as a community hub where residents could live, work, play, and shop all within one building.

Indoor Amenities

Denizen Bushwick offers a wide variety of indoor amenities for residents to enjoy.

For example, the fitness center has state-of-the-art equipment, a yoga studio, a cinema room, and a children’s playroom.

Additionally, there is a business center with meeting rooms and private offices.

There is a lounge with a fireplace and billiards table for residents who want to relax.

Finally, there is a rooftop deck with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline.

ODA Architecture

ODA has completed the construction of Denizen Bushwick, a 12-story, 340-unit mixed-use building in Brooklyn.

The building is located on a site formerly home to an auto body shop and a gas station.

The project includes ground-floor retail space, a rooftop deck, and a public plaza.

The building is also LEED certified. Amenities include underground parking, a fitness center, a lounge with a fireplace, and resident bike storage.

The property’s restaurants will include sushi from Loloi Lounge; coffee from Third Rail Roasters; burgers from Smashburger; salads from Go Get Em Tiger; pizza from Pizaro’s Pizza Grotto; fried chicken sandwiches from Chick Fil A Express.; Italian cuisine at Di Palo’s Italian Bakery & Deli; salads at La Provence; smoothies at Juice Generation; and bagels at Bagel Store.

External Spaces

With the completion of Denizen Bushwick, ODA has brought new life to an already thriving neighborhood.

The building’s unique design perfectly blends old and new with a modern twist that will stand out.

The external spaces are some of the best features of the building, with a large courtyard and plenty of seating areas.

The landscaping is also top-notch, with mature trees and shrubs providing privacy and shade.

It seems as though Denizen will be another excellent place for people to live, work, and play.

Conclusion

The much-anticipated Denizen Bushwick by ODA has finally been completed.

This luxury apartment complex offers stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, top-of-the-line amenities, and a prime location in one of Brooklyn’s most up-and-coming neighborhoods.

Those lucky enough to snag an apartment in this highly sought-after development are sure to enjoy all it has to offer.

Thanks to ODA for bringing this fantastic project to fruition.
